FAQ
Yes. Atlantic Roofing does not charge for the inspection visit or the photo report, and there is no obligation to book any additional work afterward. If the roof is in good shape, we will tell you that directly.
The inspection exists to give homeowners an honest, documented answer about their roof's condition, whether that leads to a repair, a replacement, or nothing at all. Homeowners considering a home purchase or preparing to sell often use it purely for the documentation.
Atlantic Roofing's standard multi-point inspection is free. Some inspectors on Long Island charge $150 to $400 for a similar visit, particularly if it includes a drone survey or a formal written report for insurance or real estate purposes; ask us directly if you need that level of documentation and we will confirm current pricing.
The main cost variable across the market is depth of documentation and turnaround speed, not the inspection itself. Our free inspection includes photo documentation as standard.
You get a written estimate with the same photos we used during the inspection attached, so you can see exactly what the price covers. There is no pressure to accept it on the spot, and no obligation to use Atlantic Roofing for the repair if you would rather get another quote.
Yes, both are common reasons homeowners book an inspection. The photo report works well as supporting documentation in either case. For storm-related insurance claims specifically, see our storm damage page.
Most inspections take 30 to 60 minutes on-site, depending on roof size and pitch. You get the photo report shortly after.
Yes. GCs and builders who need a fast, documented read on a roof's condition before making a recommendation to their own client can book the same free inspection. See our About page for more on how we work with builders.
